Leo Season | Show Up and Show Out

You weren't born to be a background character in your own life.
Cancer season took us inward.
Back home.
Back into our feelings.
Back to the private parts of ourselves that needed tenderness, safety, and care.
Then Leo arrives, throws open the curtains, lets the sunlight pour in, and says:

Welcome to Leo season.
When the Sun enters Leo, the energy shifts from inner security to outer expression.
Leo is fixed fire. Ruled by the Sun, it governs creativity, confidence, visibility, pleasure, romance, self-expression, leadership, celebration, and the courage to occupy your own life fully.
This is not the season for shrinking.
It is not the season for pretending you don't care.
And it is definitely not the season for waiting quietly in the wings hoping someone eventually notices how extraordinary you are.

Show up. And show out.

Leo season begins around July 22 or 23 each year, when the Sun leaves Cancer and enters the fifth sign of the zodiac.
And the progression matters.
Cancer helped us establish emotional security.
Leo asks:
Now that you know who you are when nobody is watching, who are you willing to be when everybody is?
Leo is ruled by the Sun—the center of our solar system.
Everything revolves around it.

Visibility requires participation.
Post it.
Wear it.
Say it.
Launch it.
Walk into the room.
Put your name on your work.
Let yourself be associated with the thing you actually want to be known for.
You don't have to be fearless.
You just have to stop making fear the creative director.
Stop Auditioning
There is a version of visibility that isn't really visibility at all.
It's performance.
The carefully edited personality.
The opinion softened for approval.
The outfit chosen for someone else's taste.
The ambition made smaller so nobody feels threatened.
The personality adjusted depending on who's in the room.
That's not Leo.
Leo doesn't want the most universally acceptable version of you.
It wants the most alive one.
Stop auditioning for rooms you've already entered.
Stop convincing people who have already decided not to see you.
Stop modifying yourself for audiences that aren't even buying tickets.
You are not here to be everyone's favorite.
You are here to become unmistakably yourself.
Confidence Comes From Self-Recognition
We often treat confidence as something the outside world gives us.
Compliments.
Followers.
Attention.
Money.
Applause.
Someone choosing us.
Someone telling us we're beautiful.
Someone confirming that we're good enough.
Those things can feel wonderful.
Leo certainly isn't opposed to applause.

Tell your friends.
Let people be proud of you.
Let yourself be proud of you.
You do not have to immediately become dissatisfied with something just because you've finally achieved it.
Pleasure Does Not Need to Be Productive
Things adults are strangely good at turning into work.
What do you do simply because you enjoy it?
Not because it builds your brand.
Not because it burns calories.
Not because you can monetize it.
Not because it makes you more impressive.
Because it's fun.
Remember fun?
Leo does.
Dance badly.
Flirt.
Dress up for dinner.
Go somewhere beautiful.
Make something nobody will ever buy.

Play.
Pleasure is not something you earn after completing enough responsibilities.

Leo is profoundly creative.
And creativity doesn't only mean painting, singing, acting, or writing.

A business.
A room.
A meal.

Creativity is life force made visible.

What wants to come through you?
Not everything needs to be optimized before it exists.

Enough.
Taking up space does not require taking space away from someone else.
Someone else's brilliance does not dim yours.
And your brilliance does not diminish theirs.
There is room.
Stand up straight.
Say what you know.
Wear the outfit.
Take the seat.
Accept the compliment.
Let the photograph be taken.
You are allowed to be noticeable.
Romance Your Own Life
Leo rules romance.
And yes, that can mean lovers, dates, chemistry, and being adored.

Wear perfume when nobody is coming over.
Use the beautiful glass.

Other people can add to the experience.
They should.
